Chris Carragher otherwise known as Chris Caggs, Aged 48 is an Australian Radio DJ, Music Programmer & Podcaster in the Australian Radio Industry almost 30 years. He’s broadcasted across 16 radio stations as a permanent on air resident with a further 200 radio stations across the Community Radio Network (ComRad Satellite) In July 1998, Chris Caggs dream became a reality hosting his permanent radio show with co-host Mista-C on Australia’s 1st Hip Hop & RnB Community Radio Station Pump FM 99.3FM Sydney. The station relaunched as dance radio 99.3fm playing Hip Hop & RnB on a Monday & Tuesday Night further relaunching as Dance FM 94.5fm in August 2000. Later in 1998 Chris Caggs joined DJ-FM 87.6FM a 24/7 fulltime Dance Station for Inner City & Sydney CBD run by the Robert’s Media Group. Robert Iezzi was the owner & DJs included Frank Chiment, Antonio Avati, Joe Avati, Susie Stapleton, Dave Einfield & Andre Waitsmrn, Joe Corte, Rob Brizzi & More with Sponsors Central Station Records, Telstra, Carlton & United, Noizenet, Pulse Music, SBA Music, Free FM 96.9 CDs' with thanks to Craig Payne and Dean K & Rebecca Tynan was the mairketing & communications manager. DJ-FM 87.6 Sydney CBD & Inner Suburbs ceased in 1999 with a new concept of a brand new Dance station Rhythm FM 87.6 run by Timmy Byrne & Phil K the team behind Melbourne's successful Kiss 90fm now broadcasting in Melbourne Greater Metropolitan Area as Kiss FM Dance Music Australia on 87.6FM, 87.8FM and 88.0FM. Chris Caggs met Timmy Byrne and Phil K who were responsible for their compilation cds. In October 1999 - January 2001 Chris Caggs was on air and in music programming on Groove FM 94.5FM & 96.9FM Sydney broadcasting from Railway Square's Wild FM Studios with thanks to Darren Leigh, Mike Scott & Fabrizio Vilardo and hosted weekday Breakfawt show and Weekends/. Metro Beatz is a South Florida based DJ/Producer/Remixer/Engineer of House/Electronic, R&B & Hip Hop Music for Music Of Class Productions and MOCRadio Network. Metro Beatz also known as 'LC' orginally from Lawrence, Ma has a long history & career in music since the mid 80s starting with his first rap group 'The Fresh Express - Stop (Before You Get Started)' which was a local hit in Greensboro, NC then scored an underground rap hit in 1990 with his group 'Mind Over Matter - Invisible Enemy' Soon after, Metro Beatz would move to Atlanta in 1990 working with several upcoming R&B & Hip artist, working at records stores, spinning at clubs in Atlanta and spinning mixtapes eventually collaborating with Chris Brann from Wamdue Kids, he caught the bug for House music, relocated to South Florida spinning on Miami's number one station Hot 105, spinning celebrity parties and released his first solo House music project on Terrence Parker's 'Parker MusicWorks Label' in 2008. I first started djing around about 12 years ago when i was 17. It was by chance i knew a dj in a bar and one week he asked me if i could do his set for him as he couldnt make it and gave me a brief lesson on what to do and from there i was hooked. I started getting sets playing hip hop and garage in Doncaster and sheffield and then discovered speed garage in 2001 and then started playing that. During that time myself and 2 others started a label called Gridlockd Records which became one of the biggest labels in the scene in a very short time as we were the only label making original tracks. Fast forward 12 years and in that time i played the first bassline set on bbc 1xtra, put together a compilation for ministry of sound (Maximum bass 2007) And had tracks signed to mos and all around the world (Universal). I decided in 2008 that i wasnt gonna pidgeonhole myself to one genre and went self employed as a dj and tutor. Around that time i got my own show on local legal radio station sine fm and my weekend vibes show did so well they moved me from 2-3 sat afternoon to 6-8 saturday night the show before dj legend graeme park. Nowadays i do a show called the history of Dance music on sine fm 102.6fm in Doncaster or www.sinefm.com worldwide every tuesday evening 8pm-10pm.
